Starting from scratch or just trying to spruce up? Bring in a sketch or a few photographs and let our experienced sales staff give you qualified recommendations for picking the right plant for that one spot or for your entire yard.

Our three stores have acres of tried and true plant varieties as well as the new and unique specimens that can let your yard stand out from the rest.

Trouble in paradise?

Have you found some new wonder of nature in the garden? Properly identifying an insect, weed or disease is essential before getting your yard back to showplace condition. Let our staff help you find the solutions to all your gardening problems.

Bring in samples! We have Master Gardeners, California Certified Nursery Professionals and expert university graduates to diagnose most garden problems and make competent recommendations to overcome them. With a good sample of a problem we can usually make the diagnosis on the spot!

Perennials

The new, the heirloom and the unusual -- these describe our expanded perennial selection. Perennials are a great foundation from which to expand upon. Large or small, they can become the frame for your flower garden. Plant once and join in this newly "rediscovered" garden wonder-Perennials-and make your yard a showplace from season to season, from year to year.

Many varieties are available as 4" starters, #1 container and large #5 specimen sizes.

Our selection includes the newest hybrids from specialty growers, large cactus and succulents, colorful drought tolerant and rockery species and the traditional cottage garden assortment.

Roses

Traditionally the most popular garden flower, roses are available in abundance at Capital Nursery. With over 160 varieties from which to choose -- climbers, patio, tree, shrub, hybrid tea, old fashioned roses to selected David Austin English type --any landscape can be enhanced from what roses have to offer.

Bonsai

Capital Nurseries have extensive bonsai departments with enough supplies to satisfy the enthusiast and beginner alike. All locations carry starter plants to completed specimens, pottery, wire and form supplies. Learn about this ancient art form by reading from our complete book selection or do it yourself with the right tools. All can be found at any of our 3 locations.
